Real Development Experience

You will be paired up with senior software developers and given the opportunity to work on real industry projects. Our placement students commonly have code in production within their first few months.

Proven Track Record

We love working with graduates and have done so for over 5 years, creating a proven track record of turning passionate new starters into confident, independent software developers. We are proud of the people that have grown with the company and its excellent to see them thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your first few weeks will be an intensive training period, giving you the opportunity to learn new skills and build new tools and projects in a supportive environment, buddied up with a senior developer. Once you have gained confidence in the tools and technologies we use, you will sit within a core development team working on real industry projects.

Responsibilities Include

Take part in SCRUM rituals such as standups, sprint reviews, retros and refinement sessions. These usually take place as Slack or Teams calls running through the backlog on Jira and showcasing our work on staging environments.

Work with project managers and other developers to help spec new projects, helping to decide key technologies and supporting estimates being produced.

Learn new skills and technologies, ensuring you’re staying at the top of your game. You’ll be learning so much more than you thought possible and you’ll be building incredible things with your new skills.

Write code in real projects. We work in several different programming languages, and we’ll give you the support and guidance you need to learn everything you need to write world class code.

Absorb knowledge from senior developers to hone your skills as a developer. You should always be looking for opportunities to improve your work by seeking code reviews, working with others to plan your work and validate your approaches.

You’ll Have These Skills

Our top priority is to have team members that are passionate, curious and exciting about the technologies we use and the problems we solve. You will need an eagerness to learn and a drive to solve problems. Many of the problems we solve are challenges we’ve never faced, nor had the skills to solve them. It is our drive that gives us the ability to learn and act.

You should be familiar with various programming languages and programming concepts. We understand you will be new to programming, and we fully expect you to have written very little in many of the languages we use. It will help you to understand the principles of good code and well written software.

You’ll be great at communicating with your team and the people around you. We encourage everyone, even senior developers to speak up when they’re stuck. It is better to speak up and learn than to sit in silence and struggle.
